Craft before commerce

Wendylario Co. began as a one-bench operation on Emery Street repairing school pianos nobody else wanted to touch. Those instruments taught us the trade quickly: worn center pins, verdigris, collapsed hammer felt, pinblocks holding on by memory alone. Fifteen years later the shop still takes the difficult jobs, and the same standards apply to a routine Tuesday afternoon tuning.

How we work

Every appointment opens with a short assessment. We check pitch against A440, sample the action across the compass, inspect the soundboard and bridges, and look at the room itself — where the piano sits, what the humidity reads, whether a vent blows across the case. Then we tell you what we found, what it costs, and what can safely wait.

We do not sell service plans you do not need. If a piano only requires an annual tuning, that is what we will recommend, and we will say so even when a larger job would earn more.

Training and standards

Our technicians train continuously in aural temperament setting, action geometry, regulation specification and modern restoration techniques. Tools are calibrated, tuning is verified both electronically and by ear, and every regulation is measured against the manufacturer's specification rather than eyeballed.

Rooted in Longmont

We live here. We tune the pianos at neighborhood churches, in practice rooms, in living rooms from Prospect to Niwot, and at recital venues throughout Boulder County and Denver. That local density is exactly why we can usually reach you within a week.
